Intimate Lines (Revisiting abstract photography)

I wanted to show my appreciation for abstract photography by making a book of close up photographs of fruits and vegetables. Being the first photographer I learned about, Edward Weston and his Pepper series was the inspiration for my photographs and was a great way to go back to one of the first methods I learned when I first started photographing. Like putting on your favorite pare of old jeans, it felt good to do abstract photography again.

Making this book also allowed me to use skills that I learned in my printing degree. I used Lightroom to work the images, Photoshop to make the outlines, then, InDesign to add the text and layout the book.
